Marshall Furniture offers a variety of finishes for custom and quick ship products. Please refer to the product page for finish availability, or Contact Us if you have any questions about your project.
Wood colors pictured are approximate. Wood is a natural product with variations in grain, color, knots, texture and stain acceptance. These variations are normal and should be anticipated. However, if you require a precise match to color, grain and tone, the standard sample selected should be returned to Marshall Furniture for a custom match. In certain cases, it may be necessary to purchase special material in order to mimic the sample's desired characteristics. All standard and premium wood selections are plain sliced with an open pore finish.

Symbols
Marshall Furniture has scattered helpful symbols throughout our website, cutsheets, design drawings, and various marketing materials to illustrate our principles of craftsmanship, special product features, and functionality options. The descriptions below clarify the meaning behind each symbol.
Custom Finish Availability Symbol - This symbol represents items that can be custom color matched. This symbol is typically applied to items from our custom furniture line. Color matching can be done to match material and finish of an item in the space or another piece of existing furniture. When this symbol is present, a control sample is required to produce a color match.
Adjustable Height Symbol - This symbol represents furniture that has been integrated with our electric or hydraulic height adjust options. This symbol is present on our website under the option tab and whenever there is a lift mechanism included in a product example picture. It can also sometimes be seen on a design drawing or cutsheet if a lift has been specified for the project.
10-Year Warranty Symbol - This symbol represents our commitment to providing quality, long-lasting furniture for the duration of 10 years. This warranty applies to all furniture we provide (shipped within the United States) and this symbol is present all over our website and on every design drawing. View our Warranty Statement
Wheelchair Accessible Symbol - This symbol represents furniture items that have been designed with the proper space requirements for individuals who are using a wheelchair. This includes lecterns, workstations, desks, and tables. You will see this on our website, on design drawings, and on cutsheets for items that have sufficient knee space already included or on pieces that have been specified with our ADA locking pullout work surface, which creates a seated space on more compact pieces.
Ships Fully Assembled Symbol - This symbol represents the promise that your piece will ship fully assembled without the need for assembly on-site, eliminating headaches and additional time and money for installation. With the exception of tables, you can expect the majority of our product offerings to ship to you in one piece, ready to use.
Assembly Required - This symbol indicates products that do not ship fully assembled. Within our product line, there are a few items that will require on-site installation, which can range from simple to more complex. For simple assembly items, Marshall Furniture will provide your team with installation instructions. For a complex, custom assembly, a third-party installer may be necessary, which Marshall Furniture will designate, at their discretion, as either a member of our team or a local technician. All products requiring assembly will include pre-drilled holes and hardware to ease the installation process.
Melamine Ships in 10-30 Days Symbol - This symbol represents Quick Ship furniture items that are available in any of our standard melamine finishes. All Quick Ship items in small quantities ship in 10-30 days, depending on the chosen melamine finish. You can expect to see this on our website, design drawings, and cutsheets under the applicable Quick Ship line.
Wood Ships in 10-30 Days Symbol - This symbol represents Quick Ship furniture items that are available in any of our plain sliced standard or premium wood veneer finishes. All Quick Ship items in small quantities ship in 10-30 days, depending on the chosen wood veneer finish. You can expect to see this on our website, design drawings, and cutsheets under the applicable Quick Ship line.
Ships in 4-6 Weeks Symbol - This symbol represents the lead time on furniture that is considered custom. This is our standard, year-round lead time on small quantities of items that are moderately customized. The asterisk included in this symbol represents the possibility of a longer lead time. You can expect to see an extended time frame on more complex designs or larger quantities.
AWI Member Symbol - This symbol represents our membership with the Architectural Woodwork Institute, which we have been a part of since 2002. This membership means that we design and build all our furniture according to their high quality standards.
FSC Certification Symbol - This symbol represents our association with the Forest Stewardship Council. We have held FSC certification since 2012. Our partnership with this non-profit organization is a part of our commitment to utilizing material that is sourced sustainably for our finished products. FSC Certified products can contribute LEED points on projects seeking LEED Certification. View our COC Certification.
Made in USA Symbol - This symbol represents Marshall Furniture's dedication to providing USA-made products. Our facility in Antioch, IL designs, sells, engineers, manufactures, and ships all products. You can find this symbol on our website, cut sheets, and stock drawings.
Terms & Warranty
Standard Terms and Conditions
Payment Terms
Payment terms are cash with order except where credit is established and in good standing. All payments are to be made in US Dollars. Contact Marshall Furniture’s accounting department with any questions.
Freight Charges
Unless otherwise stated, any shipments within the contiguous United States are FOB Origin and billed freight collect. Incoterms for international shipments are EXWORKS unless other arrangements are made. If a freight quotation is needed, contact your Marshall Furniture salesperson.
Cancellation
All sales are final. Due to the custom nature of Marshall Furniture’s products, all orders are subjected to an in-depth approval process prior to build. Approval of drawings, wood type, finish and material, whether by signature or written consent, indicates complete authorization of final design parameters. Therefore, Marshall Furniture cannot accept a return on any of their products. In certain situations, returns on select products may be authorized at Marshall Furniture’s sole discretion. Details concerning a potential return can be discussed further with our sales department.
Lead Times/Delivery
Estimated lead time is quoted when an order is released to production. Lead times are approximate and subject to change. We will communicate any changes or delays to the lead time when necessary. When order is ready for shipment, we will contact buyer to confirm shipping details and requote freight charges (if applicable). If at that time, delivery needs to be scheduled for a later date, storage fees may apply.
Storage Fees
If unable to accept delivery of order when ready to ship, storage fees may apply. In the event storage fees apply, we will notify buyer to inform the fee amount and date effective. The charges will accrue weekly until order ships. The accrued fees will be billed directly to the buyer and included on final invoice once order ships.

10-Year Furniture Warranty
All Marshall Furniture products carry a Ten-Year limited warranty to be free of manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. Component parts not manufactured by Marshall Furniture such as electrical light fixtures and bulbs, electrical surge protectors, and electric lifts carry a warranty by their respective manufacturers.
This warranty does not apply to:
- Damage due to misuse, negligence, accident or abuse
- Normal wear and tear, especially of a cosmetic nature
- Any product that is altered or modified without our permission
- Damage due to acts of God
- Improper handling, assembly, installation or maintenance
LIMITATIONS OF CLAIMS: Except for the 10-year warranty described in the paragraphs above, Marshall Furniture makes no other warranty, express or implied, and shall not be responsible for any other damages or claims, whether or not such damages are direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential. By way of example only, Incidental damages include (but are not limited to) phone charges, schedule interruptions and costs of removing or reinstalling equipment. Consequential damages include (but are not limited to) items such as replacing other property that is damaged if the warranted furniture fails.
